In a South Dakota zoo, 6 critically endangered red wolves were born. With population numbers hanging by a thread, this birth is a miracle for their species. In the wild, there are only about 25 red wolves left, and wolf advocates and conservationists are thrilled to see this increase.

These red wolves are a part of the Species Survival Plan, and will hopefully contrubute to the wild release of their kin.

Once people understand the true nature of wolves and their plight in the wild, that's one step closer to saving them.
