On Monday, 5 gray wolves were released in Grand County, Colorado. Before the wolves were released, they were captured in Oregon, examined by veterinarians, and fitted with radio collars. By mid-March, 2024, Colorado Parks and Wildlife plans to release 10-15 wolves. Over the next few years, CPW hopes to release 30-50 wolves into the state. This effort has been a work in the process since 2020, and an anticipated moment for animal right's advocates.
